Exactly Where You Are

I have a genuine appreciation and even fondness of maps. My secular work life and even the ministry has had me visiting multiple homes during a day. At one point, years ago, I was visiting 3 to 6 houses every day. I became good at reading a map and could quickly determine the best route to get to the next stop. However, when going from one house to another, my starting point was different, and the roads I was familiar with were not always an option.

Nowadays, with smartphones, we can ask for a restaurant or store near us or dictate an address we need to get to.

In the kingdom of God, while desiring and learning to live by faith, we often need clear directions for the path ahead, or to determine what path to take. As believers heading in the direction of heaven and doing the Lord’s will, we do not come from the exact same place. However, the instructions and markers on route are all similar and available. Our growth experiences and struggles are typically identical. As babies, we crawl, walk, climb, and fall, then we get up and try again or we move on, the same is true in the faith.

You might be wondering where you are in the scheme of things, where to go next, what to do, how to get on track, or perhaps you’re being blocked by circumstances or consequences. The Lord and His word have answers!

You might need a guide, and I’m happy to help, however, I have included what I believe are steps of faith found in scripture and a survey that can shed a lot of light on things for you. Reading through these items will be a great place to start, and I want to encourage you to pray daily, asking God for leading. It is the Holy Spirit of God drawing you to seek Him and move towards His will. I encourage you to pray daily and ask for the Lord’s leading.
