Your soul has someplace it wants to be, at peace and to get a victory. There are hurdles and hiccups in our circumstances, in our thinking, from past experiences, and even from a lack of knowledge or resources. A Pastor is someone that can help you over a hump or out of a ditch, spiritually speaking. Being online and available, I want to hear from you to help with that next step toward victory.

There are two illustrations that I personally consider when describing a pastor. First, a pastor is like a coach. A coach will challenge you and give you the directions and training to win. The coach doesn’t win unless the athlete does, yet he’s all in and makes the same sacrifices, and goes through the same steps as the athlete. When an athlete and coach get together, there’s only a little chatter or conversation, they meet up to prepare for battle. They get right to it.

Spiritually, we must converse and discover who the real enemy or the exact challenge is ahead of us, but with the coach illustration, there is freedom to be straight. Due to experience, a knowledge of the bible, and my own daily walk with the Lord, we can discuss the real issues that will be focused on you and your responsibility. The enemies and challenges we face in life are nondiscriminatory. Life is hard and the devil is real. Our Lord has provided the means for you to overcome, and he expects you to.

Secondly, and more briefly, a Pastor is like the guy with the flashlight at a concert or event parking area. He is simply waving you on to another guy with a flashlight or a place to park your car. You might need to make a turn, and getting all the way there is on you and the Lord. You have decisions to make. Ultimately, we are talking about your place in your relationship with Jesus Christ and the kingdom of the Heavenly Father. I can wave you along the way.

So, be brave and go a bit farther. You can reach out with a text, or an email, or we can set up a call or a Zoom meeting. In your text, you can be brief and to the point:

“Pastor Shane, I’ve visited your website or watched your videos, and I have an issue to discuss,”

Or “I have a quick question,” Or “Will you pray for me about…?”
